Water Retention Behaviour and Fracture Toughness of Coir/Pineapple Leaf Fibre with Addition of Al2O3 Hybrid Composites under Ambient Conditions

Due to their high mechanical and physical properties, natural fibre-based composite materials have been important in many fields of application for four five years. The chief intention the current study is determine water retention features under ambient conditions. Coir pineapple leaf fibre were used as a reinforcement, aluminium oxide additives, polyester matrix. hybrid resources laminated by manual hand lay-up method. characteristics like tensile, flexural, fracture toughness properties tested per ASTM standard. Nanoparticle weight ratio its size variation significantly impact qualities. composite’s behaviour was two types levels: ordinary tab nanofluid. moisture uptake composites rose volume increased, after 640 hours, all had reached equilibrium. According results, following combinations maximum strength: 15% wt.% coir, pineapple, 10% nanofiller, 60% resin. mentioned above withstand most load during tests. Compared 20% filler, Al2O3 filler produces good interfacial adhesion study. fractured specimens analyzed using scanning electron microscopic (SEM) pictures recognize better failure process testing.
